About the Project
Who is Involved?
The Computer Technologies for Schools (CTFS) project is an outcome of the Prime Minister's 1997 "Investing for Growth" industry policy statement, "Computers for Schools" initiative.
Governance of the CTFS Project
The project is funded by the Australian Government through the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR).
National Steering Committee
A National Steering Committee, made up of representatives from State and Territory education departments, the non-government schools sector and DEEWR, oversees the implementation of the Computer Technologies for Schools project.
State and Territory Steering Committee networks receive requests from schools and organise for the distribution of the equipment.
See the Project Contacts page for details of Steering Committee membership.
